[Case]
45 years old, female
[Chief complaint]
(A) Dysmenorrhea (VAS: 9.0 [0-10]), (B) Hot flashes, (C) Stiff shoulders
[History]
No special notes
[Current medical history]
Dysmenorrhea has been present since the last childbirth (10 years ago), with (B) and (C) being more noticeable in the last year. I went to the hospital because I was concerned about menopause, and my NSAID use increased as a result.
[Current illness]
Body temperature: 36.3 degrees, blood pressure: 138/88 mmHg, confirmation of uterine adenomyosis with a diameter of 1 cm on the anterior wall of the uterus by echo at the first visit.
[Treatment]
GUIZHI FULING WAN 桂枝茯苓丸
7.5 g / day for 3 days. We decided not to interfere with the use of NSAIDs during pain enhancement.
[Progress]
(B) and (C) almost disappeared about 3 days after administration. Two weeks later, menstruation significantly reduced (A) (VAS: 1.0-2.0), and NSAIDs became almost unnecessary. The lower body's coldness has become much better.
Currently, the dosage has been reduced to 5.0 g / day and is ongoing.
[Discussion]
GUIZHI FULING WAN 桂枝茯苓丸
In reality, this is a medication that can be used by anybody, regardless of their physical appearance, and is said to be especially effective in the treatment of systemic microcirculatory disorders.
As a result, it can help with dysmenorrhea caused by endometriosis/adenomyosis and uterine fibroids to some degree.
